Didn’t want to leave

Tripadvisor Surfing Canggu hostel“Me and a friend wanted to spend a month in Indo surfing and luckily stumbled across ehomestay online. In the end we spent about 6 weeks here and would have stayed longer if the visa wasn’t running out. I can’t say enough about how great this place was, the homestay itself is surrounded by rice paddies and only a 3 minute walk or 30 second moped ride to Pereranan beach which has several great surf breaks. Canggu is a great place that avoids the manic crowds of Kuta, and offers a more chilled out place to live and surf. There is nothing better than waking up here at sunrise and hitting the awesome surf right on your doorstep. We stayed in the open air 6 bed room which was perfect for us, but there is also a private double room if people want a bit more privacy.

The best part of the stay here though really had to be the openness and kindness of the owners, Made and Esi. Two great people who welcomed us into their lives, we got to live like the locals, joining them and their friends for BBQ’s, birthdays, weddings and christenings.

I will definitely be back to visit again and if I had it my way I wouldn’t have left at all.”

About Esi

I live by the beach, counted as one of my achievement of millions dreams I have. Fall in love with Bali, my so-called 'my happy place'. Padi Licensed Diver, try (but keep failing) on Yoga, running on the beach during sunset, and now learning for not getting juiced by the wave on my yellow boogie board. To Life is human, to TRAVEL is Live. Visited 4 continents, 13 countries, and 28 cities outside Indonesia so far. And found out that Indonesia has the purest beauty, so I am now nestling down on the Island made when God was smiling.
