Simple accomodation perfect for a relaxed surf trip

Catherine with th otehr guest of Ehomestay enjoy local foodI stayed at the homestay for 1 week Feb 2014. I found it pretty much exactly as the photos depict. It is certainly simple and basic but it had everything I needed to enjoy my stay.

I slept in the woodhouse dorm which sleeps 6 with plenty of space for everyone. Each guest has a large comfortable mattress bed fully enclosed with mosquito net and with a very large wooden locker with each bed to store your stuff. Locks are provided. There are floor fans and a lamp for each bed. Downstairs there is two toilets and two showers one of which has hot water as needed. The downstairs section has a kitchen with sink, hob, fridges, toaster, blender etc so preparing your own meals is possible if you so wish (though a meal in a local warung is usually less than about $1AUD !!) Drinking water is provided as is tea, coffee and basic breakfast items. There is also a lounging / TV area with loads of dvds to watch between waves! There is a small bungalow in the same enclosure as the woodhouse and this has a double bed with it’s own TV / toilet / shower and it has A/C. Very cute private option.

The woodhouse is located a couple of minutes walk from Echo beach. There are surfbreaks to choose from to suit all levels within a few minutes from the homestay. I would recommend hiring a scooter to get around (the owners of the homestay can organise this for you for about 50k / $5 per day) It is not essential if you just wish to chill at the local beach but it is handy for getting about.

The owners Esi and Made, along with Agung who looks after the place day to day are really friendly and helpful and do everything to make sure you enjoy your stay.

Overall I would defineatly recommend eHomestay for a simple, relaxing break and I will be going back soon.”
